Hello Folks.
At the risk of sounding a bit of an 'Anorak' I am a flight simmer who loves the Beech Duke B60 piston in the Microsoft FSX simulator. I also have the Flight1 GTN750 and have joined here as a means of becoming a better 'pilot', albeit an armchair one!! My son is a real world A320 Captain for a European Regional airline, so I do have a 'connection' to real world.
Anyway, hello to everyone and I'm looking forward to reading all your posts.
Best Regards...Ken. p.s. I hope I do not offend anyone by being a little bit cheeky perhaps in joining the Forum.

Hello, I had to laugh at your post. Stay with me..... That is how i started out to, did not have the money to get my PPL. So I built a computer to handle FSX at its max and flew all over the place. My instructor told me I was way ahead of the curve for that reason. Got my PPL in 5 months, should have been 4 but DPE was hard to schedule. I still fly on it when I can not go up!!!! I will tell you nothing is like the real thing..... Brian

Offended? All kinds of concepts get tossed around, including questions about the state of simulation. So looking forward to your contributions. Where are you living?

Hello again Folks.
I should have said that my local field is EGPJ and my local airport is EGPH. I live in Fife on the east coast of Scotland, not far from St. Andrews. Throw the clubs in the back and come on over...
Best Regards...Ken.

Well Kenneth, I can't believe you would have the impertinent audacity to hijack our forum. You're just the father of a pilot whose professionalism makes me look like a loony schoolboy. I too started my amateur "aviation career" at the foot of a Microsoft Simulator joystick, and I didn't begin flight lessons until I was more than a half century old! It's never too late. You are more welcome here than a case of Ardbeg Corryvreckan!

Careful Ken, we likely will take you up on that!
