Hello all,
Name is Gary, just retired from 30 yrs of high school teaching (physics), a pilot, and now a full time student in the A & P program at Orange Coast College, California. I have a 1959 Bonanza, model 35D ... sort of ... which I've adopted in our shop yard. No one else wanted to work on her; she had the dirty bottom characteristic, I'm told, of many of her kind with inattentive owners, with a solid coating of thick grease from stem to stern which repulse most other students. I've elected to do many of our required projects on her (sheet metal repair, 100 hr inspec., antenna replacement) and now with a couple others I've talked into this, in the process of getting her landing gear to work again. The maintenance manuals, IPC's, and POH's available to us are all for newer models, oldest being the model 35H, and this is why I've joined this group share an affection for this aircraft. I'm going to need some help. This old girl will never fly again, but she has a clean bottom now, and hopefully will serve to help train a new generation of A & P's out of So.Calif.

Welcome to BT, Gary. Good on ya' for trying to put some life into a neglected bird.

All the IPCs are available for free from Beech/Textron. Registration required, but free.

https://ww2.txtav.com/TechnicalPublicat ... ds/IPCList

Same free registration leads to other (not so free) manuals.

Good luck in school, Teach! You'll likely find plenty of work after graduation.

Thank you for the offer to help, Guy, but the college is a bit touchy about off-campus people in the shop due to liability concerns. Thanks for the head's up on model and year.
Tail number is N3497G, long deregistered, with s/n D3507 . I got the 1959 date from the FAA Registry using the N-number. It's quite possible the '59 date shown there is in error and the aircraft is actually from 1953.

Thank you, Don for the link to textav.com. Was able to get the correct IPC, which will be a big help, but reluctant to shell out 160 bucks for the MM for a 3 week school project.
