Hello,
My name is Connor Kastan. The owner of Redline Aviation and the inventor of the Sidewinder, Linn Kastan, is my grandfather. I wanted to introduce myself on this forum as I have started working with the company in recent years. My responsibilities at Redline include inventory management, product assembly and shipping. I spent a huge part of my childhood at Redline Aviation during my visits with 'Gramps" and have flown with him in several of the Beech airplanes he has owned over the years. I have grown up loving everything thing about aviation and have a passion for this business. I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to post positive, honest and helpful reviews on this forum. I would like to invite you to contact me personally at connor@redlineaviation.com, I'll be looking forward to answering your questions and addressing any issues you may have with any of our products.

Thanks again for your continuing support.

Best regards,
Connor Kastan

Hi Connor
Would you sell a Wedge Loc into Australia or alternatively collect at Oshkosh?

Hi Connor

Are you referring to our Wedge Loc link or our Beech hand tow bars with the wedge lock fitting?

My sidewinder would not fit when I bought it a few months ago. I called the number on the equipment (Sunday evening), and was surprised when Linn answered. We facetimed and determined that my nose wheel fork was slightly off center. Long story short, I flew to Gillespie where the assembly takes place and Linn had me fixed in about 5 minutes and then he and Connor bought me a burger and coke for lunch. The operation they have is impressive and they are just nice airplane people who are passionate about their product. The only thing I might like to see to make it even better, is to look at more lightweight materials (ala the bicycle industry, which coincidentally was the original business model) Congratulations on creating a great, innovative product.

Welcome Connor! Waiting for mine to ship!

I've borrowed a friend's Sidewinder in the meantime. Great piece of gear.

Thank you for your patience Mark! Your Beech Sidewinder just shipped yesterday. You should receive the tracking number via email soon. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Received and love it!

Just in time for Oshkosh.

I should have placed my order the day before our "210" friend trashed your product. I got stuck in the massive order spree that shortly ensued. (I was already a believer... just a procrastinator.)

I just figured out that Redline Aviation is the same Kastan family as the legendary Kastan BMX and Redline bicycles. BMX pioneers! Very cool.

I did not realize that either, very cool. A redline was my first mode of transportation.

Connor - welcome aboard. Your grandpa build a great BMX bike - the very best. I grew up with several original Redlines which were, without a doubt, the highest quality bikes in the business. Tapered fork legs, welds on both sides of gussets and drop-outs (seems like everyone should do that), best cranks, etc. I wish I had kept a couple of the best examples (they are worth a lot now).

I can see that quality carry through in the Redline Aviation products. Well done.

Not to fully derail, but gratuitous pic of Redline from my garage ...

Of course, I look forward to buying from Redline Aviation.

Stalls (wheelies) in bike speak were quite easy when I was much, much, much younger on mine. Cool bit of knowledge.....
