Hey all,
Just joined yesterday. Not a Beech owner yet, but I do really like the planes, and I'm trying to learn more about them to decide if a Bonanza is up my alley or not. I hear many things good and bad about them, but I'd like to learn more firsthand!

Roger,

Edit your profile to put your town there.

The search function is great for finding info, or just ask away.

Welcome!

Welcome, I see you fly a DA-40. Nice aircraft and fun to fly. The Bonanza would give you a good speed advantage. Depending on your standard mission could make good sense. This is a good place to have other people help you spend your money on airplanes.

As for good and bad things, opinions are likely biased here but my opinion is that they are excellent airplanes. Big question is whether it fits you mission and needs. With proper training they are a delight to fly and rather capable.

You will notice people are marked as mentors, likely there are BT members close that could let you see a Bonanza up close and answer questions. Also if you want to see a lot f Bonanzas and other planes at once, the gathering in Knoxville is June 7-8, fly on in, all types are welcome. There is a link in the calendar at the top of the page or click here.

Welcome to BT, Roger.
You probably will spend a lot of time here; you can access an incredible amount of useful (also funny and useless) information generously given by some of the brightest people on this planet. There are perhaps a few dumbshits here as well.
Being a BT member is a privilege I value highly.

Where in the Raleigh area? I don't have a Bonanza but if you want to check out a Sundowner I can probably hook you up.

Come join us in Knoxville on the 8th, and you can see just about every model Beech made.
