Well, after watching planes sell on Beechtalk, Controller, etc, I finally stepped up to the plate and bought one! This has been an incredible community and I'm looking forward to sharing things as I find and fix them in the coming years. Insurance required 15 hours with an instructor knowledgeable with Bonanzas. That proved somewhat difficult near KABQ, so I flew to PHX near to where I picked the plane up and spent 4 awesome days flying with Bob Benda. In addition to being a CFII BPPP instructor, he is also an ABS maintenance academy graduate and (very nearly) A&P. We'd fly in the morning and early afternoon, and then park in the hangar and take things apart and tinker. It was like Bonanza summer camp! All told, I put 20 hours on her in about 4 days. Couldn't be happier. She's going down in just a few weeks for annual and going to get ADS-B. For that, the wife told me I could get "whatever I wanted." Now excuse me, I have a spinner to polish. A.J.
