I am new at everything! Just purchased a 1954 E-35 in great shape. I have it hangered at Glendale AZ, I have no flight experience so I’m thinking about doing 10 to 15 hours in a different aircraft before I Start training in the plane I bought. Any recommendations? I’m also looking for a CFI if anyone Could recommend somebody. I look forward to being active on the site

Welcome to BT, Dan! There have been a number of discussions about primary training in one's own airplane. Save money in a Cessna/Piper trainer or gain experience in your own ride. Good arguments both ways. You might try a Search via the Red Bar above. For the CFI reference, click the Members link above. Search there by location and put the question direct to those local to you via Private Message (the envelope icon). Good luck on your journey and let us know how it goes. OBTW,

Any and all advice is certainly welcome. Hi Ben, Although not in the market for a partner in my A36, I invite you to come out to FYE (Somerville) and visit. I own an A36TC and she is based at FYE and would glad to have you come along for a $100 hamburger. Currently we are snowbirds in Orange Beach and the Bonanza travels with us as an extended member of the family. However we should be bringing her back to FYE soon. All the best, Rusty (sorry about you being an Air Force guy.. Zoomie too?)

Thanks Rusty! I'll take you up on that. Let me know when you're back this way.

I'm still actively working (currently in Haneda finishing an 8 day rotation on Thursday) and will pass through Somerville to check on the place but when I get back in town, come on out to FedEx East and see our facility. Lots of Purple and Silver pilots on the field with their own airplanes.
