Good Afternoon All,
Name is Elijah Baker. Currently flying out of KCUB in Columbia SC and have about 190 hours and will be going for my IR checkride as soon as I feel comfortable enough to pass the oral. Will be getting my Commercial and CFI afterwards. Most of my time is in Liberty XL2's and Piper Arrows and have recently graduated to a Saratoga for a few hours! Once I obtain my IR rating I will be looking to purchase my first plane and have recently discovered that an older Bonanza will meet my mission profile and my budget. I have actually never flown in a Bonanza but I keep hearing how unbelievable they are compared to an Arrow. Looking forward to learning more about the older Bonanzas and meeting everyone on this forum!

Hi Elijah, welcome to BT. If you're shopping for Bonanzas, this is the place to be, great information here.

I moved to a Bonanza from an Arrow. You will love the transition!

Yeah the Arrow is a great plane but I feel like I would outgrow it in a few years. To me it makes sense to buy the plane I will keep for the rest of my life and upgrade as I go. I know I probably won't get the money I put into it back but I wouldn't plan on selling until I lost my medical and couldn't fly anymore (which hopefully would be 30+ years). Still not quite sure what model Bo I want. I know I want a V-Tail and nothing older than a J35.
