I've been researching extensively for the past few months to determine my mission, what to look for (and watch out for) and how much I'd want to spend. I haven't found the plane for me quite yet but I'm looking for a BE-33 or BE-35 anywhere from mid 60's to early 1980's. So if you know a person that is contemplating selling...
Anyways, glad to be here! Dylan from Wichita

I'm a low time PPL, just shy of 100hrs. I've mainly flown C152, 172 and 182's. The local flight school that I attended recently closed their doors and that is what propelled me into looking for my own aircraft. Well, that and when I wanted to go on a trip on a spur of the moment the plane was booked or down for maintenance.
My mission: The majority of my flights (90%+) will be me and one other person starting out while working towards an instrument rating. Short trips to the surrounding states and Texas. After another 100 to 150 hrs I could see more flights going longer distances with the kids or two more adults and an overnight bag. A plane with a useful load around 1050 to 1100#'s would fit nicely as the wife and I are around 310#'s combined. The kiddos weigh 115#'s combined but this changes daily by the way my son eats.

Hi Dylan,
I’m a Deb owner based on the east side at Stearman Field. My airplane is a 1960 with tip tanks and the IO-470N. I love that combo, light and good useful load. We looked at an ‘81 F33A, and it was 350 lbs heavier than the Deb. Let me know if you’re ever out at Stearman, and we’ll go flying.
