Howdy,

I'm getting ready to go do a prebuy on a restored 35 V tail later this week. Always wanted one and I think the right one may have popped up. The price point matches up with my expectations and I've got my fingers crossed. It's a little bit of a "mechanics special" (I'm an A&P) but looking forward to it.

I've read all the current AD's, talked with a few IA's... I think I know what I'm looking for... only thing missing is some actual "owner experience" I was hoping to read here.

Welcome, good luck on the prebuy. You might try searching for “compare” to see the various posts by people that have owned Bo’s, others, and all of the above. You didn’t say why model, lots of differences from early to late.

Roark, welcome to BT. If you have questions there are a lot of people here with answers. And the search feature is great too when you get the hang of it. A lot of information is on tap at BT!

It's an "early" 35. I've seen a lot of bad ones but I think this one might is a diamond in the rough so I'm hesitant to say SN till I get it or pass.

I've been using the forum search a lot already... looking for things to check when I'm with the plane I might miss otherwise.

Sorry to report D-392 is probably dead. I knew it would need work, but that one is a lost cause.
