Hey everyone! Long time aircraft forum lurker/poster, but not Beechtalk. I'm getting ready to dive into ownership and I'm looking hard at the early Bo line, specifically the J-M35. I'm looking forward to exploring everything there is to know Beech! My mission is a mix of local flying, overnights within a few hundred nm, and occasional trips from Socal to WA state maybe even into BC. That said, are there any pireps out there on this bird? What do "typical" annuals run without finding any major squawks? Lastly, I'm a ~200 hr PPL, halfway through IFR, so I'd have some insurance considerations I think. https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?ca ... =aircraft#

ADSB will be needed right away, and if you add a GPS as well, you may be looking at spending at least 15k With your future IR rating, and living in SoCal, an IFR gps is a good thing to have, so I would add that to the overall budget. The coupled autopilot is nice. Thanks! Looked at logs. Hasn't flown more than 15 or so hrs total over the last few years. Then there's this one that just came up. Looks clean, I can do panel later. https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?ca ... e=aircraft

Haha a hangar at SNA is impossible. Cost for one, but multi-year waiting list. I'll be tied down outside. Weather there is really temperate though so I'm not too worried about it and I can moved to a shaded spot later, or suck it up eventually and get a hangar at Corona or Chino.
