Hello All!
I’m new to the forum. I’ve flown since 1969 and served as a FlightvSurgeon in the US Navy on the carrier USS Independence 1980-1983.
I served in the US Navy Reserve at NAS Glenview in Chicago from 1983-1989.
I’ve owned a P-35 1963 Bonanza since December 1990. I’ve flown it for approx 1600 hours and think it’s the perfect Bonanza!!
My twin brother( retired USAF C-5 Pilot) and I fly together almost always. We both are CFII rated and do lots of instrument flying. I’m about to retire this year and hope to fly more.. my brother just retired also. We were born on Christmas Day in 1952.
We have upgraded the panel in our Bonanza to include a G-500 with dual Garmin 430 WAAS units and a STEC 60-2 autopilot with GPSS. We have ADS-B installed and have had a Honeywell active traffic system for 15 years( my favorite add on in the airplane).
I’ll include a panel picture shortly.
We use Finefield Aviation at Lake in the Hills Illinois airport for maintenance and Skycom Avionics at Waukesha (UES) for radio work. Both shops most highly recommended.
