Introducing myself here as a new member from Santa Monica, Ca.

I'm currently doing my IFR training at Orange County Flight Center at KSNA. I"m also in the market for my first Bonanza. Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Having spent a week or so reading through BeechTalk I'm very excited to be part of what appears to be a very close and engaged community.

I'm based at Fullerton, but drive right by SNA every day on my to work in Irvine. There are some SNA Pilots that get together every second Tuesday of the month for happy hour at a local bar called the Classic Q. People show up at 6:00. I've only made it by a couple of times, but it's a nice group of people who know the area and love planes. Feel free to come join us if you can!

Here's the website for the Classic Q. The place is sort of your standard sports bar with pool tables that can be rented by the hour. The "Q" is a reference to a pool cue. It's pretty much across the street from SNA

"Pilots and Pints" is the name of this informal meetup and it happens every second Tuesday night at 6:00.

The group that meets there is informally corraled by some of the people who fly with Sunrise Aviation, but the meet up is wide open to whoever shows. There is no agenda and no obligations. Just a nice group having a sip and talking about aviation.

I'm planning to stop by there tomorrow night (11/13) on my way home from work.
Let's see if we can get some Beechtalkers to show up and talk about Bonanzas all night!
