Greetings,

I am with Aircraft Accessories of Oklahoma, an FAA approved repair station (#RV3R829L) rated in Class I and Class II aircraft accessories. We also have a limited rating for aircraft propellers and NDI. Located at 2740 North Sheridan Road in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we have grown to facilities covering approximately 10,000 sq. ft. with the finest technicians and equipment for repair, overhaul and exchange of aircraft components.

I am the third generation here at our firm, with my grandfather starting our company in 1959. We are a small, local business with around 35 employees and growing. Recently, we have expanded our operations by 2,800 square feet at our current location complete with a new customer lobby, inventory management system, and two quality control inspection areas. We now have capabilities for Hartzell Aircraft Fuel Pumps.

Since 1959, we have “Created goodwill by doing good work” – a saying from my late grandfather B. H. “Pop” Popplewell. Our facility is open Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. You are welcome to come tour to our facility, meet the staff, grab some popcorn and collect your free T-Shirt and Goodie Bag. I personally love giving tours and explaining the history of our company. As my “Pop” always said, “Stick around and we’ll cut a watermelon”! We like to make new friends, keep the old, one is sliver, the other is gold.

Welcome to BT, Cole! We've done business with your company for years in maintaining our old airplanes. You don't forget the name Popplewell. I've talked to your Dad before (or was it your grandfather) several times over the years.

Ironically, we just started annual on the Baron. Do you overhaul fuel controller for IO-550-C? If so, how much does it cost and turn time?

Pete, for your fuel controller there are two options available depending on your application. If you have the brass controller (p/n 649468-2) it is $475.00 or less depending on parts for overhaul.

If you have the aluminium integrated air-horn controller (p/n 646835) it is $875.00 or less depending on parts for overhaul. Normal lead time on either is 3-5 days.
