Welcome Sheldon, Just be careful with your mission range/ fuel requirements. Good to have a supportive "copilot". Too bad about the nix on the V tail. Remember,- PIC is just that!

[quote= There's a broker in the Carolina's, Carolina Aircraft, and have heard good things about that I keep meaning to call up. My buddy and I are willing to go just about anywhere in the US if we find the right one and do a true cross country back with fun stops.[/quote] A good pre-buy, especially with engine internals, is essential. Bonanzas are where you find 'em. My B36 maiden voyage took me from San Jose, Ca (also a reputable Beech broker there) to Sanford Florida. Enjoyed seeing the entire US in my new to me B. Best of luck in your search Jerry

And no worries Jerry, I have a surprising number of airport restaurants I plan on touring and stopping for fuel, both human and Bo. Lot's of fun adventures planned, but need the bird first!
There's a broker in the Carolina's, Carolina Aircraft, and have heard good things about that I keep meaning to call up. My buddy and I are willing to go just about anywhere in the US if we find the right one and do a true cross country back with fun stops. George Johnson, and Carolina Aircraft is a great start. Also use the Members tab at the top of BT to look up Neil Shwartz. He's the local BT Expert Broker, and he'll help you to decide what's right for you. For local pre-buy, and maintenance for your bird Lou Pugilese with Flying Leaf Aviation, in Asheboro (KHBI) is a Bonanza expert, and comes highly recommended. Also, keep an eye out on Peddler Talk in BT to see what comes up for sale there. Happy Flying

Hi Sheldon! I'm in the Ballantyne area so I usually fly out of Monroe. However they're out of tie-downs right now but right now so my B55 will be at Rock Hill until some tie downs become available. Have you considered a twin? If the answer is "no" I'm guessing it's because you haven't had an in-flight engine failure yet! Mine happened at ~200 hours of PIC. Plus twins are roughly half the cost of a single, which is another bonus! I've had mixed luck with mechanics in the area. When you get your plane I'd be glad to share insights.

Oh I may have seen your bird out there! But unfortunately I do not have multi...I found a pretty awesome guy, David Sperr that has been helping me review logbooks. Actually, I think I saw you at David's and just failed to recall the name. You have the Baron that had the props leaking the dreaded red?
