I recently purchased a V35B that has the IO550, TN and also has a Robertson STOL kit. I’ve owned Bonanzas, off and on since 1959 starting with a new K35 ( $26,600 from factory), but this is my first experience with TN and with STOL on the same airplane. Im really growing to appreciate the TN system, even with my relatively flat country flying, rarely above 12,500, but consistently getting 10-11MPG. I’m wondering if anyone has had experience with the STOL kit on a Bonanza. I have seen no disadvantage so far, except that the spoiler system might be a “ Tad” more sensitive than traditional aelerons. But, for my purposes , not much advantage either. Any comments appreciated. Thanks Ed Carruth

Just be prepared for a staggering price quote if you need parts from Sierra Industries. They now own the STC and are very difficult to deal with. They have no interest in our old planes and go out of their way to make that known. I was quoted over $3,500.00 for a flap gearbox that is about the size of your cellphone. I had it repaired for $250.00 at a local shop.
