Hi everyone, new pilot here and looking at buying a plane for my Instrument Training and trips with the family. Based in Huntsville, AL (HSV). Looking at something like a Sundowner or Sierra, e.g. 4-seater planes. My next step is to get some help on a pre-buy inspection (one plane i’m looking at is not in alabama). After that, does Anybody know of a good Beechcraft mechanic around Huntsville for maintenance / annuals ? (Edit: just saw the other thread viewtopic.php?f=7&t=144898&p=2027162&hilit=HSV#p2027162about mechanics near Huntsville, thanks).

I'm going to PM you some contact information I found on an A&P in Alabama recommended over on the BeechAeroClub website, hopefully the contact information is still current. If you aren't already a member, you should consider joining the BAC website, it's a fantastic resource. Also (warning, self-promotion), I have my Sierra up for sale: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=154454

Welcome!
You also have some options up North of you for maintenance if needed. I know Shelybville (KSYI) does a decent bit of Bonanza's and that might not even be a 30min flight from Huntsville.
Best of luck in your search and ownership! Never stop learning or training!
