Aircraft: Musketeer A23
I have been looking at a Musketeer but the prepurchase went poorly (low compression compressed donuts etc.) but it still might work out.
I noticed a Navion and I am trying to make comparisons but I do not know if there is a group out there for those aircraft. I know that they are not a Beech product but I am hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Norm

Musketeer and Navion are very different airplanes!

If you are shopping airplanes based on what's around your local airport, I would suggest working with someone who knows the market to decide what make/model of airplane is right for you and then search the country for exactly what you want. It's not efficient to hop from model to model while evaluating.

Hi Jesse,
You are very correct.
The Navion is profoundly different from the Musketeer.

I just want to research it, like I did the Musketeer, before I invest in a prepurchase.

Any links to sources or type sites for these aircraft would be greatly appreciated.
Also if anyone here has any direct experience with Navions, especially maintenance problems associated with them, that input would be greatly appreciated.

I know this question may not be appropriate for this site, however I do believe that the Navions competed with some of the Beech products for defence contracts so I was hoping that there might be someone here who could give me a starting point to research the Navions.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Norm

American Navion Society is the oldest type club. <www.navionsociety.org>. Annual convention, 58th, is in Boerne, TX starting 6/17/18. There are several regional clubs, where are you located?

I am located in Eastern Ontario - A little north of the border with New York State, about an hour north of the eastern end of Lake Ontario.
If there are any Ontario Chapters please let me know.
Thanks again,
Norm

I'd be happy to discuss them with you (I own one, you can PM me). There is a "fairly" active Yahoo Group that you might be able to find following this link: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NAVION_AIRCRAFT_MAIL/info

There are much more knowledgeable people on that group than I am and they are pretty responsive to people checking out the type.
