Just a quick note to say "G'day" from the land of Oz. I have been lurking around here for a very long time - and thought it about time I introduce myself.
I have a 1967 C33 Deb - VH-FJF - which I have proudly owned for almost 20 years now. We have had a lot of fun with this aircraft over the years, enjoying adventures with family and friends with trips away all over Australia. Both our boys learnt to fly and did their first solo's in the Deb. before they could get their drivers licence. One went on to make a career of flying and is currently a captain and instructor on the C130 Hercs with the Australian Air Force.
I have been operating FJF on line through a flying school since I first acquired the aircraft, which has helped to cover some of the costs and keep its flying hours up. The aircraft is currently being used for GA Advanced Training by the Air Force Flying Club at the RAAF Richmond Air Base, which is located near Sydney, NSW.
There are some details and pics of my Deb on
http://www.deb4hire.com.auI have discovered that there is a lot to be learned from owning and operating an aircraft, and found this list to be a valuable source of collective wisdom and knowledge.
I am looking forward to being a more active member in the future, and would be great to catch up with any members visiting us down under.
Cheers,
David
