Howdy! My name is Tulio Soto. I live at the Sport Flyers airfield in Brookshire, Texas. I am interested in all things aviation in Latin America, historic whether military or civilian, aircraft photos, accidents, and so on. I am one of the co-founders of the www.laahs.com, the Latin American Aviation Historical Society. I grew up in Guatemala, but have been in the USA since the 1980s. I like the Beech T-34, I have a good friend who owns one, and have flown with him several times. I don't own a Beec, but own a Fairchild PT-19B project, that is stored in my hangar in Brookshire. Glad to be here. Saludos, to y'all Tulio

Will the Fairchild fly? Are you restoring it?
By the way, Panajachel is one of favorite scenic places on Earth. I wanted an airplane to restore and fly. A friend offered me the PT-19. I will never restore it, because I lack the expertise. But I had a great time for several years, going all over the USA, meeting nice people, buying parts, a great experience. It is still far from being a complete project. Panajachel: I used to fly over Lake Atitlan when I was getting my flight hours in Guatemala. Flew frequently over Atitlan, to come in between the Santiago bay, over the cordillera to the Costa Sur, to Retalhuleu, and thence to Puerto San Jose via Rama Blanca. Did that route many times! Saludos, Tulio
