Hello to all, Like many that have posted here in this forum recently, I too have been using the valuable info had on this site in my quest for my first airplane. Also like many others here I had started flying at an early age ( obtaining my license at 20). And then life got in the way, marriage, family and job. Although my wife and I had our first date on a trip to Catalina, she was not that enamored with flying. fast forward 30 years (boys are thru college), a chance meeting with AOPA's rusty pilots seminar and I finally made my 40 year dream come true. I purchased my first plane ( a 2013 G36 Bonanza), which I think is really cool. But the coolest part for me is now my wife is the one planning the trips. As it is always said on here if there aren't pics it didn't happen. So here you go Also thanks again for all the wisdom and insight Hopefully I will be able to use it for a long time and even better hopefully at some point I will be able to give some Tim

The FAPA meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month. The next one is on 3/20, 6-9pm at AFI. I won't be there this time due to a work conflict, but introduce yourself to Mike Jesch the host. He's a great CFI, flies for American Airlines, and is the VP of FAPA as well as the area FAASTeam rep of the year currently. He's also an airplane owner hangared on the north side.
