Hi Everybody!

Some of you guys already know me. For those who don't, I'm TJ. I'm the lead tech rep for Avidyne down here in sunny Melbourne, FL.

Feel free to send questions or concerns my way. I will be monitoring as time permits. I only ask that we don't use the forum as a replacement for contacting tech support directly when needed. I also ask that you guys bear with me. I've been a tech for over 20 years, both military and GA, but a pilot I am not. I will be bringing in additional help when it comes to pilot/FMS questions that are not my forte.

I'm looking forward to serving as a conduit of information in this forum. Fire away!

Welcome TJ!

I am not currently an Avidyne user, I do like to drool over some of the products at airshows!

Welcome aboard,
Can you tell us about the trade in program for GNS units?
I'v got a GNS430W that I'd be interested in hearing about how that works out to trade in for a new Gizmo...
glad to have you, and Thanks to Avidyne for support BeechTalk!

Lol. Warren, thanks for the heads up. I'll let our folks know to bring extra rags to the next show.

Chester,
If you'd like to shoot me a PM with your direct contact info, I'd be glad to have one of our sales folks reach out to you. My speciality is getting everything to play nice once installed.

TJ, Welcome!

Thanks for all the past help setting up my IFD540.
Looking forward to working with you in the future.

Any progress with the “Dave Hold Button” to reverse the pre-set memory?

Great to have you on BT, TJ.

I've had terrific support from you, Christine and all the Avidyne folks in the past, including a phone call on a Saturday to make sure my problem was looked after.

Thanks Dave! I have definitely shared the "Dave Hold Button" with our engineering group. I'd be glad to keep bugging them for you. Have you thrown this idea up on the Avidyne Live forum?

Hi TJ,
Welcome! Big G has a presence here so I am pleased to see Big A. I am looking at a needed panel redo. Almost went with a G5 at annual recently but the timing did not work out. What's your equivalent?
Kindly,
Ralph

Excellent! Welcome.

I have a 540 in our Glastar (had it put in a few years ago) and now have a G5 talking to it as well. I have some lingering questions that I haven't asked about that yet, so maybe I will.

Jeremy
