I can finally introduce myself the way I wanted to 4 years ago when I originally signed up. I picked up a new to me 69 36 last Friday and I haven't wiped the smile off of my face yet.

550 Tat Whirlwind II, built in Oxygen. G500, Stec55x, Jpi 930. ~1700lb useful load. you name it, it has it. Oh and the speed is a little addictive.

I bought the plane for Aircraft ownership solutions who purchased it from the previous owner who had it for over 38 years. Arron at AOS was incredible to deal with and I'll be doing a write up on that experience shortly. If you are looking at any of their aircraft or looking for someone to work with on a purhcase/sale I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them..

She really moves. This was ROP, right after we leveled off and accelerated.

Amazing that a '69 with TAT and G500 is basically as capable as a 2018, maybe even better.

That altitude bug was beeping at us as we blew through it and we couldn't figure out what was causing it. Had to pull the pilot guide out to figure it out. I've got alot to learn on this thing before I'm comfortable.

That is by far the lightest turbonormalized A36 I've heard of. I am impressed. My normally aspirated V35 weighs 2297. (She is loaded down with other goodies like speed brakes and air conditioning).

I just pulled out the weight and balance and I apparently mis spoke. They did it without the rear two sets of seats in it. No idea why, so add what 75lbs onto that??

The weight of a single 1979 A36 rear seat was 19 lb. I would WAG a stock 1969 seat is close to the same. If it has been recovered and has new internals then it will be different.

Nice to see another person correctly using Thomas as a last name :bud:

Maybe if they are fancy massaging seats or something. You probably still have a great useful load.
