Good evening everyone,

I am Walter Polk Jr. Soon I will begin my journey of earning a private pilots license. As of yet I do not have an aircraft of my own. After research my goal is the purchase a Beechcraft and use it for training.

Recently, I did a discovery flight with Anson Aviation and had a blast. It was everything that I imagined it would be but much, much more. Hard to explain the feeling of taking off in a small plane like the for the first time. I was a little nervous but totally captivated with the view, the instruments, the sounds, the height, the radio, etc. I can't wait to get started.

I'm really glad to be a part of a group of people that have an interest in Beechcrafts. I'm sure I'll have many questions in the coming weeks ahead. Looking forward to conversing with you all.

Walter :pilot:

Keith,

Thanks a lot! I am to tell you the truth. To be honest I've been looking into general aviation for about the last two years. Mainly, just watching videos online. After I got the nerve to do the discovery flight, I couldn't believe that I hadn't done it sooner.

Walter

I enjoyed all my training, and it seems to have never ended. With regard to the primary trainers, I even miss that oily smell ! So I too am hooked. Every time I stick my head in one of those 152's or 172's the odor brings back a lot of memories.

Howdy Walter,

Can't hardly pass up an introduction like yours. Have you decided on an instructor, or school? Although learning in your own airplane is great, it could take a little while to find the right one depending on your wherewithal.

Best of luck!
