Thanks for accepting me as a member in this forum. I will be 70 this year and have always been a big aviation buff... The technics behind the aviation fascinates me more that the flying in itself. If I could make sort of a rewind, I'd rather be an aeronautical engineer than a pilot. Trying to get the most out of the resources, trying to get the best performance out of a given input of energy (or money, whatever the case). I joined this forum to get some reading about Beech aircraft but also about flying them, using them regularly and to try to find out what the future of Beech will be, given the huge shift in the parameters of the industry we are witnessing for some time now. Thanks for accepting me here. C. Gilbert Porto, Portugal

Welcome Carlos. I have family in Bustos and in Pico Azores. Beautiful country, traveled there once with my grandparents to see the old family farm. I visited Porto and drank a lot of vintage port with friends and family, good times. My cousins in the Azores were air traffic controlers in Pico and also pilots. Enjoy Beechtalk good people here.

Thank you very much, Gary! I know there are tens of thousands of people originating from the Azores islands in the US, from Madeira as well, especially in Hawai, I was told. One of our best "chefs de cuisine" even has a restaurant in downtown New York... Best regards, Carlos
