Hello Tom! I remember how excited he was to be able to drool over your Twin BO when you flew in! Username Protected wrote: Hi, Warren! Warren and I go way back ... to when I think I was given his room when I stayed over with Steve some 15 years ago or so. I flew the Twin Bonanza in, Steve picked me up in one of his classic cars, and we had fun. Glad to see you here, Warren. You'll fit right in.

Landing the T Bone at Lee (2500 feet) was fun. I took Steve up for a ride. I’m glad you are carrying on the aviation tradition.

Jack, I remember running into you there with my father several years ago. It is great to see familiar names on here! Thanks for the welcome! Username Protected wrote: Hi Warren. We’ve met many times.
Your dad was great but we all must move on and look to the future.
I am happy that you are flying his plane. He gave me a ride in it once.
Hope to see you at some of the fly ins.

Warren,
I had the pleasure of meeting your Father at a couple of NEBG functions shortly after I joined around 2008.
Although I didn’t know him well, he had one of those wonderful personalities that made me feel like I was friend upon the first handshake. He was very active in the NEBG and promoted all things Beechcraft with an enthusiasm that was simply infectious.
A class act.
Every time I see a red Bo, I think of Steve Oxman.
I appreciate you posting and wish you well with the new family!

PS - I go to MTN often and it would be my pleasure to take a flight somewhere with you should your schedule allow.

Tom, Thank you for the kind words and welcome! Red was definitely my father's favorite color. LOL I hope to see you soon in the area. It would be great to go flying sometime soon! I am always looking for excuses to go! Username Protected wrote: Warren,

Quote: Hello Mike!
I will never forget stuffing your bird in our hangar! My Dad was so confident that it would fit with his tools and stuff on the bench. It was great seeing his shock when we had to move everything! I remember that. The shelves on the back wall were built around the V tail and my straight tail didn’t fit

Quote: That was a fun day! I believe we were changing the rubber on the wings, am i remembering correctly? Could be. I forget. I remember once that Steve volunteered to have his kids wash my plane (maybe you). Seemed like a good idea. Afterwards he came back to me with a huge list of things that were wrong with my plane. He was such a perfectionist. One thing was a very slow fuel leak from the fuel low point. One drop every few minutes. He insisted I get it fixed. I flew it over to Dan Towery’s place and he took the fuel filter out and put it back in correctly in about 20 seconds. I took off heading home, flying all by myself , at 2,000’, when Dan’s cat jumped up onto my shoulder. Geez. I was in Lancaster Avionics the other day and your red Vtail with a letter from Steve is still on the wall.

I remember showing him the drip and he told me that you weren't gonna be happy with me! He then grabbed a rag and started cleaning because he couldn't sit still! I can't imagine the noise you made when his cat jumped on you! It is kind of cool to see those letters he wrote at shops like that. Cool to see they still value them and leave them up!
