I am happy that you are flying his plane. He gave me a ride in it once.

Landing the T Bone at Lee (2500 feet) was fun. I took Steve up for a ride. I’m glad you are carrying on the aviation tradition.[/quote]

That was the reason he started looking at them! He was amazed at how seemingly easy it was for you to land at Lee. Funny thing is, he ended up getting hooked on the 18 when he couldn't find the right T Bone, I ended up getting hooked on the Twin Bonanza after we started looking at them. I will own one some day!

Warren,

I had the pleasure of meeting your Father at a couple of NEBG functions shortly after I joined around 2008.

Although I didn’t know him well, he had one of those wonderful personalities that made me feel like I was friend upon the first handshake. He was very active in the NEBG and promoted all things Beechcraft with an enthusiasm that was simply infectious.

A class act.

Every time I see a red Bo, I think of Steve Oxman.

I appreciate you posting and wish you well with the new family!

Thank you for the kind words and welcome! Red was definitely my father's favorite color. LOL

That was a fun day! I believe we were changing the rubber on the wings, am i remembering correctly?

Could be. I forget.

I remember once that Steve volunteered to have his kids wash my plane (maybe you). Seemed like a good idea. Afterwards he came back to me with a huge list of things that were wrong with my plane. He was such a perfectionist.

One thing was a very slow fuel leak from the fuel low point. One drop every few minutes. He insisted I get it fixed. I flew it over to Dan Towery’s place and he took the fuel filter out and put it back in correctly in about 20 seconds. I took off heading home, flying all by myself , at 2,000’, when Dan’s cat jumped up onto my shoulder. Geez.

I was in Lancaster Avionics the other day and your red Vtail with a letter from Steve is still on the wall.

That was me! I remember showing him the drip and he told me that you weren't gonna be happy with me! He then grabbed a rag and started cleaning because he couldn't sit still! I can't imagine the noise you made when his cat jumped on you!

It is kind of cool to see those letters he wrote at shops like that. Cool to see they still value them and leave them up!
