Hello all. Long time lurker first time poster. My wife and I own and maintain a PA-28-180 and an awesome RV-4. Both have been great for us, with their different mission profiles, alas we are forward planning to upgrade to a 35 in the coming years. Plan to keep the -4 for acro, naturally... I have time in 35s/36s, with my best memories teaching in V35B in West Texas. Look forward to learning / lurking some more! Say hey if you are ever down the ft Stewart / Savannah GA area (KLHW). Paul

I hear it is above freezing there, you're having a heat wave, keep warm! 34F, still cold. And people wonder why I never wanted to move back to Boston!

Welcome, neighbor! You found the best aviation forum on the Internet, and they're (mostly) welcoming even if you don't fly Beechcraft. Glad to have you.

Fair enough... I should have known better. I was going to send a picture of my wife maintaining the aircraft, but promised I wouldn't...

FIFY... She takes very good care of herself... As for the planes...I enjoy maintaining them, source of pride if you will. Thanks for the fix, next time I'll search the forums for a fix. Cheers

Welcome Paul! First, you only "lurked" for 2 days before you posted. Or you were lurking under someone else's account. Second, you've got a great Beech mechanic right there on the field with you. I hope you know Bob? Seems everyone does... Third, I used to be based there until 18 months ago. Would we have met? I had the Baron in one of the large hangars up front. Got moved next door when the contract helicopter got moved in. Finally, great field! Do the UAVs give you any problems?

Hey Bob, We met, I remember the baron. I was probably in the middle of doing the avionics upgrade on the RV. In which case you may have confused me for a homeless mechanic apprentice down on his luck. To be honest I'm there so often I have been confused for FBO staff before (even towed a bonanza before because it was faster than finding a line guy) I was in the box hanger next to you with the RV and clipper, and had the Cherokee moved in RIGHT after your baron flew out (been meaning to talk to you about the oil slick you left me behind...), currently spread over two hangars. The Gray Eagles (UAVs) don't seem to fly much. Low tolerance for wind, low op tempo, rarely fly weekends. I typically fly 1-2 days after work (weekdays) and at least one weekend day. Maybe once every two months ill have to hole for 10 minutes while they recover one. I seem to remember you were heading further south to Jax, hope all is well! Paul
