Thank you to everyone for making such a great forum. For the past 24 hours I've been voraciously reading all I can on this forum on buying and also ownership. I've also joined the American Bonanza Society and ordered a couple of books. After looking at the For Sale forum, it is impossible not to get excited about the possibility of Bonanza ownership.
I'm looking forward to the search and thank you again to everyone for their thoughtful posts.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
What do you intend to do with your Bonanza?

I am moving to Portland, Oregon next July and would like to have something by then. My family is scattered around the NW with a brother in Burns, a sister in Kamloops and a son going to school in Bozeman, MT. I am looking for a way to take myself, girlfriend and her daughter around the NW and down to California so the weight and balance discussions and worksheets have been very interesting. We are also planning on participating in some ABS fly-ins and other Bonanza activities. I'm currently in the education phase and haven't decided on the exact model of Bonanza yet but am planning on spending about $80,000 and am looking at the P, S and V35 series of aircraft with the 520 engine in it.
I've been flying for an airline for awhile and am looking forward to getting back into general aviation and the Bonanza group has impressed me with their commitment to flying and maintaining the airplane and all-around helpfulness.

Dave, with your multi engine experience, don't rule out a Baron. You can get a lot for your money, and that second engine eases the mind a bit flying over the mountains. And welcome!!!
