Hello everyone,

I bought my Baron a year ago and joined Beechtalk at the recommendation of my instructor, Trevor Blackmer, but I don't think I ever introduced myself.

My name is Byron Severson and I own a '74 Baron 58. I'm a sales manager for Dassault Falcon Jet down in Texas. I cut my teeth in sales at Raytheon Aircraft selling/demo'ing Beech Bonanza A36s and Baron 58's. Not a bad gig and got to know the 58 pretty well. Now I have the privilege of selling large and long range business jets for a company with a lineage just as long and storied as Beech's. I use the Baron to get around on my sales calls.

My plane is TH-431. I bought it from a super nice fellow in Florida though it spent most of it's life in drier climes. She has everything I wanted: 430W, EDM-760, Shadin fuel flow. I was off of flying for about 7 years prior to getting her so I'm loving getting the chops back.

My family has enjoyed several trips with me. I have a wife of 13 years and kids 11, 9 and 6.

A picture of my Baron is attached. Nice to meet y'all.

Now I'm green with envy on two accounts. Hope you're loving the inboard slats on the "S". What has a lower approach speed, your Duke or your Falcon?

Hi Byron,

Welcome!

Head on over to McKinney, TX - the local EAA chapter has a coffee and donuts the 1st Saturday of every month - starts at 9am.

Located at the northwest hangars which are located at the west end of taxi lane B2.

You are welcome any time - let me know when you are coming over and we can meet up - this goes for all BTers :-)

Hey Byron - that's a near familiar N-number - my dad's 1974 B55 was N4433W so they must have come off the production line about the same time. Welcome to BT!

Please don’t be jealous! Yesterday Vref was 111 Kts. Pretty incredible landed with 3K fuel, I am sure that I had less than 110 once or twice! On Duke target 100 kts but with VGs 90 kts at most weights

Saw the add recently from DFJ for a west Coast CSM, having AC sales experience a long time ago was giving it some thought also half French probably not a bad idea ;)

Looking forward to catching you at next M&O enjoy the Baron!
