Quote: Beautiful plane.
You do know you can just open 1 side of the cowling, right? lol, yes. We were installing the cowl for the first time since the new engine install. We rolled it out of the hangar to prep for the first start. The airplane was coming out of an extensive annual that included the factory rebuilt engine, prop overhaul, governor overhaul, complete interior r&r, headliner recover, floor board repairs, all new hoses, ducts, anti chafe seals (thanks Guy) engine mounts, D'Shannon baffles, wiring cleanup, sump drain replace plus the usual annual items. We should be good to go for a while I hope.

Quote: What part of Florida, Eric? Lots of BT'rs all over. We're in the panhandle. FL17 is just east of Eglin AFB, just north of Destin (north side of Choctawhatchee Bay)
