And yes, in the brief time I've been looking, it appears there are some great 55s to be had. I've ridden in the 58 with her a few times, and it is a nice plane. I've never flown a piston Beech, lots of King Air time though. If money was no object I'd love to have a 200, but alas, I don't think it will ever happen.

A lot of us here love pictures (hint, hint)! Thanks Jim. Here are some pics of our 1961 172. We've had it for 12 years, and have had a lot of fun with it, but we'd really like something faster and more IFR capable. It's got 300 smoh, GNS430W, ads-b out KT74.

Bob You've got a good looking 172. I think you are on the right track with Bonanza / Baron. I believe you will be happier with a 55 due to your payload. You can remove the rear seats and have a versitale machine, then add one back if needed. The 55 will cost a little more but gives you lot of more options especially since you have King Air time and your wife has 58 time. There are lots of good 55's on the market. You may even find one on this website that isn't on the market. Post more pictures! You'll gain a wealth of knowledge here.
Enjoy! Billy

Enjoy! Billy Thanks Billy! Yeah, it's a nice plane, but its time tomove on. I think if we get a 55 now, it will suit our needs for a long time. Unless of course I manage to hit the lottery! I've been doing a ton of reading in the twin section, lots of great information there. We're still a few months away from getting serious about upgrading. Need to sell the 172 first.

A wife that wants a Baron? You, sir, are one lucky man!
Best wishes with your search!
Doc Thanks Doc, I think I am too! I was only thinking about a Bo or a Deb, but I'm not going to argue with her.
