I thought that I would just do a quick update to my post. I'm leaving it in my introduction because it is not a complete make-over type post.
I left everyone hanging with the new engine arriving and the prop off to the shop for an inspection.

Here is a look at the engine when we lifted the lid on it at Kalamazoo Aircraft! Of course that is when the real work started. The old engine had been residing in 55Q since December of 1973.

It was gently removed and then the engine compartment was checked for any damage and given a top to bottom cleaning.

At this point I have the lowest hourly fuel use rate of any S35 in America! It just that it is so slow!
