Hello All BT'ers,
I figured I would expand my learning potential and join Beech Talk. I own a 77' Mooney 201, and spend most of my time on Mooney Space but we have a lot of members that pick up a lot of knowledge from you guys. I do subscribe to Martin Pauly N70TB on You tube. I'm not instrument rated and hearing his long clips of radio chatter has really helped me wrap my mind around expectations for ifr procedures. I did just buy my Mooney last month and flew it from Kerrville Texas to Oregon. By far the longest xcountry I have to date. I've had my private since 2005. And love every minute in the air.

Welcome to BT. You will love it here. Don't tell anyone how fast and efficient it is , they'll be so jealous. Go Mooney!

Have you thought about your IR rating? We started flying at about the same time and the same brand. Truly great machine you're flying. Enjoy.

Thanks Chuck, I do love the plane. The worst part of it the weather has been so crummy this spring the plane had to stay in Vegas for 15 days before things cleared up in Oregon. It was 22 days from the time I left Texas to the day I flew her home with only 2 days of actual flight time:) so yes my ifr very will be one of the first upgrades this year:) I'll try not to mention I was burning less than 8 gallons an hour when I was at 12,500:)

Lol, thanks Gary. I've never been in a Beechcraft. They are pretty, but I do have a love affair with all planes:) I was planning on taking some formation training with the Beechcraft to Oshkosh chapter in Bremerton Washington this year but the girlfriend reminded me we have a wedding to go to in Moses Lake. Hopefully next year.

Welcome Charles.

Wedding next year at Moses Lake..."...hopefully...?" Is this a subtle hint about yours and your girlfriend's personal plans perhaps? Or am I reading too much into that?

Cheers,

Tom

Lol, good god don't get her started... the wedding we are going to is June 24th of this year. We will probably get married next year in Sunriver. But don't tell her yet :)
