Have owned N6950R since about 1987 and find it to be a very useful platform for local to medium haul flights. It carries lots of stuff, has performed well IFR and been a workhorse for all these years. That's not to say it's all been peaceful. The engine out over the Canadian Coastal range coming home from Ketchikan a few years back comes to mind. IFR flight plan - VMC at 9K over solid cloud layer. Luckily got a restart after a while and an intermittent running engine that made it about 60 miles to Port Hardy.
I still love it and now that I've finished building my Lancair IVP, N31VP - the Puffin - I have acquired 2 partners in the Beech so that we'll keep it flying enough hours.
So, hello everybody. John Barrett
