thansk guys. i thinking i'm doing pretty good since i'm afraid of water from nearly drowning a few times. the beech 18 was an easy salvage because we had the right equipment for the job and everything was with us. it is a 6 hour round trip to the Kingdom to get what we forgot or needed so we pack everything. it was +32c the day we first lifted the beech 18 only to have leak oil from the hydraulics on the wheels. i did not have any oil booms so i had to set the plane back down and regroup. the oil leak got worse so on july 02 2016 we just popped the plane out of the water before it became a pissing match with the people in government offices. the only problem with using the "sonic boom googles" when it is so hot out, your brain gets a little fried but i was able to get the shark hooks to grab the spar thing. then the lifting began 20" at a time with and the lever com-a-longs. of course the puppet sticks stayed with the shark hooks because we used the good canadian duct tape, lol.

thansk, salvaging the beech 18 was a warm up for what we are going to try later on. when i look back on the pictures after the rain has washed the plane clean, it is amazing that i was able to salvage the plane at all. but i had done lots of googling and searching to know where to hook the plane. i tell everyone that living at the end of the world has made me what i am today. i'm a single parent of a daughter who is my staff, published author and on national TV around the world all from my Kingdom at the end of the world. i don't think i could live in the south and do all what i have done. once i get this beech 18 back to the Kingdom then google earth will fly over and mark the spot so my Kingdom Followers will have an easy time to find me using google earth.

what surprised me was the little screws and steel are rusty but the aluminum and fibre isin really good shape for being in the water for 46 years. the sun light also has lots to do with is too. the deeper the better they say. we checked out our next project and at 75 feet down the water is clear and a sand bottom. the fish were attacking the under water camera so i had to bring a freind along just to fish to keep the fish from attacking the camera. he would drop his hook down in front of the camera and i would guide him to get the fish out of the way. that is pretty bad when that is my major problem is fish, lol.

tom -- that was the easy way to salvage the plane. 20 years ago it would have been hard to find with out the fish finder and the under water camera for checking it out.
