Good day BTers,
I'm just new to this forum and it looks pretty good. There seem to be a lot of good information available and yet to be discovered. I used to own a 1973 Cessna 172 with PENN YAN conversion (180 HP). The 172 was a good airplane to fly but it was not IFR certified. My goal is to get an IFR rating to further develop my piloting skills. I had been searching for 2 years trying to find a solid IFR plane. Four months ago, I found what I was looking for, a 1977 Beech Sierra C24R, IFR certified. I was a bit skeptic going with a low wing at the beginning because my past flying experience had been with a high wing. After the introductory flight, I was sold. I was really impressed as to how the plane handles and the outside visibility is quite amazing. It has a GNS 480 WAAS and a Century III auto-pilot which greatly increase flight safety and reduces cockpit management. I love it.
Regards,
Eric Tremblay
