Hello Everyone,
My Bonanza, N564T a 1961 N35 SN-6744, was passed down from my father to me when he passed away this past February. I've grown up in this plane, probably first taking the controls before I even turned 10, and our family enjoyed all of the great things that owning a Beechcraft bring, including many summers at Oshkosh and springs in the Bahamas.
While I learned a tremendous amount from my father (also a member of BT), I certainly didn't learn everything, and I hope to gain at least some of the wisdom that is to be had from the guys here at BT.
64T is currently hangared in Henderson-Oxford, NC, as I currently live in Hawaii (stationed on a Submarine in Pearl Harbor). However, my Wife and I will soon be moving to North Florida, as my next orders are to Kings Bay Submarine Base, GA. I am very much looking forward to doing more flying upon returning to Gods Country.
This is a picture of us and our plane. (from left to right, my Brother, Paul Jr, my dad, Paul Ogle, and myself.)

Lynn,
I'm currently stationed on the USS Asheville (SSN-758).
I have been looking at several of the airports in the vicinity of Kings Bay, primarily focused on Fernandina Beach Municipal, as that's where we are aiming to live. I've mailed off a deposit to get on the Hangar waiting list there. However, a back up plan would be nice since the airport manager there told me I was #16 on the waiting list and I imagine the turnover rate is fairly low...
Hate to keep the plane on a tiedown as it has always been hangared, but I like less the option of leaving it in North Carolina.
Know of any other good options?
Jason

Jason - welcome to BT. Beautiful plane and great pic. Those hangar waiting lists really depend on the airport. I was on one list in about the same position (>10), and about 4 months later the airport manager called and told me he had worked through to me in one day although he had only one opening, because everyone else didn't answer the phone, had moved, had told him they had sold their plane, or they found another hangar. By then, I too had found another hangar (at a significantly lower cost and 15 minutes farther away at a towered airport with 3 instrument approaches). So you never know. I was on the list at 3 airports (2 have never called and it's been a year) and had an option for a shed hangar if nothing else panned out. Fortunately, my 4th call to an airport within 30 minutes driving distance from home got me a hangar with no wait. Maybe it was just dumb luck. Maybe it helps if the airport has a larger number of hangars, as my home drome does.

Jason I'd say give St. Mary's FBO a call and just see if they even have hangar space you could rent for awhile. 912-882-4359 If you are going to live near Fernandina Beach I would stay on the list there and if St Mary's has room, park inside there until you could move.

Jason, nice bird! But it's in a good place on the Mainland. Hawaii is not aviation friendly, even to airliners tha bring in their primary source of income, tourism. Currently I'm living at Iroquis Point so see your boat in and out. Anyway, will be retiring in a few years and looking to relocate to the mainland. Looking for a bird, would have to be cabin class (owned Aztec for 13 years-want more space) pressurized twin (mountains, O2 nose bags a no-no) for what we be flying. I also work on my own aircraft so maintanance is no biggie. Looking at Cessna series, Aero Commander, Dukes. I know, how much do I want to spend....Why I'm asking the experts! Aloha!
