Maybe because we're opinionated, outspoken people who love to chime in on any topic?

A lot fewer Mooney's = less souls to play on websites.

And yet, you continue to misspell your last name
Some people think I've misspelled it because I use "ea" instead of "it."
I wouldn't go that far:-) Our banker that loaned the $$ on my first Mooney was last named Moody. So we called that airplane Mr. Moody. This one is known as Mr. Moody II

I don't much about Mooneys so I was just wondering if there is an aerodynamic reason for the shape of the vertical and horizontal stabilizers? I did get a close up look at a relatively new Ovation(?) a few years ago and it was a very pretty and well put together airplane. And just what are the 360 powered Mooney's air speeds at 65% power and LOP? And as was said earlier, welcome aboard . . .

155-160knots, 9 gph I've got munroe tanks and about 970lbs useful load. That airplane will go forever, think 1800miles before needing to stop!

It was a little slower than most others, partly due to the 3 blade prop instead of a 2 blade. I always figured 155 knots at 11.5gph ROP. Next time you look at a Mooney, look at the front of the tail where it meets the fuselage. When you trim the H stabilizer, the entire tail moves. There is supposed to be some benefit to that.....seems like ?? Duh :-)
