My name is Joe Kirby and I joined Beechtalk last November when I knew that I wanted to buy a Beech. I found N7911A and took delivery in mid January 2013. The plane is a 1964 S35 outfitted with the IO-550. The plane's avionics consist of GNS430W, KX155, KX60, STEC55, MX20 and KT76A. It is also one of very few S35's with the Cowl Latch kit; that is very nice. I have an Aspen Upgrade (PFD/MFD) starting with a new panel scheduled for mid April and will be removing the MX-20 (colored lines starting), GX-60 (flawless unit), and replacing the KT76A with a Garmin 327. Moving up from my Archer, you can imagine the fun I am having with this plane. Also, I have really enjoyed seeing all the advice and help available from Beechtalk members, on topics more varied than I would every have imagined. Joe

Yes on the 3 com. radios. When the 430W was put in, the prior owner still really liked the GX-60 and decided to just keep it; At this point, it seems like the logical one to go with the upgrade.

Congrat's Joe !! Nice airplane. I may be biased but the S model with the IO550 is an incredible machine.

Tim Two aspen tubes. I'm also upgrading to the EDM830, which I will move to where the MX20 is now. Joe
