Here, at last, is my new (to me) Red Bo. These are all "before" pictures. Taking possession Tuesday. Going to interior shop later today to pick and spend AMUs on a new interior Panel will be done next year, after we find out what the taxman does to me Crying out for an Aspen (or G500), ditch the loran and dme, perhaps relocate the S-Tec and perhaps panel mount a 696 Comments/suggestions welcome! (I'm sure that was a dumb invite)

Joy, joy, happy joy! I remember the feeling bringing the dream v-machine home last year; still have that feeling!
I would encourage you to take some time and fly 'er as is for a while & get to know her... then you can more easily decide what items are really a priority for your AMU'$. I can't tell much about the interior condition, but understand the importance of SO/SWMBO's impression & comfort factors. However, the Bo won't fly or navigate much different with an interior makeover. I have been told that some kinds of curtain rods may be illegal, as they could inhibit emergency escape out the windows.
What items showed up in your pre-buy inspection list? We started there; replaced iskra starter, purchased a BatteryMinder, etc. Small stuff at first. Then I gradually got educated at BT/CSOB school, and also learned a lot by participating in an owner-assisted annual. Graduate work at Pelican's Brief and recent studies at CMI Fairhope.
Enjoy, and look forward to meeting you somewhere sometime!

Thanks Kevin and Drew. Pretty capable as is, indeed. Flying all day Tuesday and Wednesday. Need 15 hrs of dual and 10 hrs of solo anyway plus want lots more retractabel experience plus some approaches with steam gauges. Have not done those since simulator training for IFR rating...... Actual IFR training was done with a glass cockpit. (SR22T) The speed brakes are amazing. Its like throwing out an anchor in a boat.

Hmmm..... That's a thought... Not! Just spent beaucoup AMU's on a new interior. Aspen or G500 is next.... Paint, blue or other will have to wait. Although with our powdercoat system it would last forever

Not powder coating anything on the red Bo. I'm in the ag equipment manufacturing business. We have trademarked colors. John Deere is green, Case is red and we are blue. Check it out: www.kinze.com. Anyway, we have ginormous powder coating booths . We paint, blast treat and paint steel pieces some as long as 70 feet and weighing 10,000 pounds or more. Hence the "blue" barb. It's an ag insider thing. Only 24 more hours till I get to left seat MY Bo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone posted that my first solo in my Bo will feel like my first solo all over again. I believe it. That will then be three first solo's. Long story, some other time. Have to go to work to earn some AMU's.

I was in DSM on Saturday with Ray Carey of Aircraft Interiors in the back of the Signature hangars speccing out and ordering my new top to bottom interior! I may be doing some drop-ins tomorrow and Wednesday as I am receiving transition training. We landed in 20 knot crosswind in my friends' SR22T since the other runway is under contruction. "Interesting" approach and landing with jets in front of us and behind us. Glad I was not flying my new Bo.
