My wife and I just bought our first plane, a 1964 S35 Bonanza, N8612Q, in October. We're based in Cedar Rapids, IA (KCID) and looking forward to lots of excuses to fly this year! Really excited to be an aircraft owner, especially a Beechcraft, and happy to be part of the BeechTalk community as well.

Ahhhh, the fast S model!

Welcome to BeechTalk. There are a couple other BT members from Cedar Rapids I think...

Welcome, Matt. You'll love the S model. The original painted spinner and two-bladed prop prove you have excellent taste. ;)

I'm guessing we now have at least 6 Bo's on the field.
I probably have the largest hangar.
I think a hangar/Bo party needs to be planned for when it's a little warmer. We may even get some fly in guests... Tom, Bill, Bob, Louis, Mike, Syd,..... Etc.....
I have a fridge, I know Martin has one as well.
I can find a spare grill somewhere.
Martin, Joe, Matt
Thoughts?

Luc, what hangar are you in? I'm hoping to move into #305 next week (pending approval from the "boss" ). I'm over in #73 in the west tees right now.

310

They are nice hangars in the NW T's. 305 would have good exposure to melt the snow and ice in front of your door.

Welcome Matt!

That's a pretty V-tail!

I lived in Cedar Rapids for a while, played tennis at Coe College and then was an assistant tennis pro at Elmcrest Country Club. Don't miss the winters, but I'm sure flying the area in the summer and fall is beautiful. Hope to fly my A-model up there to visit some friends soon. Only time I flew into CID in the Bo was with my dad on my college visit.
