Sure is nice panel, paint and interior The motor is an IO-470-C. My hangar neighbor called a contact he has at Continental and learned that the engine was a zero time manufacturer overhaul. I preferred the 470 rather than the 520 or 550 because I'd rather burn 10-12 gal/hr than 15-17 gal/hr. N8348D cruises at 155 its. The engine has only 125 hrs on it now!

First, beautiful airplane. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I hope you'll also enjoy that CNX80/GNS 480, my favorite GPS navigator. Great unit, if you aren't familiar, there is a yahoo group devoted to it. I almost always cruise my V35A at 11 to 12 gph, which keeps me at or above Carson's speed (which for my plane is in the vicinity of 145 IAS). A lower fuel burn isn't one of the reasons to choose a smaller displacement engine, because an IO-520 or IO-550 runs just fine at 11gph. Either high altitude or throttled back, leaned to Peak or LOP. I'm rarely in such a hurry that burning more fuel per mile to get it over with faster makes sense.
