Glenn, Its a SK76 C+ The company I fly for supply 3 for the Province of British Columbia. Two in Vancouver and one in Prince Rupert. We can carry two stretch patients and four attendants. Depending on how we are loaded we have a range of about 300NM. If you look closely at the nose near the landing gear you can see a Max-Viz camera.

Are they helis used for EMS transport at accident sites or for from fixed positions? They seem a little large to be dropping down on the side streets. (I know nothing about helis but want to learn more).
Tim A lot of the calls are hospital to hospital transfers, but we do scene responses as well. The smallest landing footprint that we Land in is 100 feet by 100 feet. The size of landing site is determined by number of factors, temperature, elevation, surrounding obstacles, what is the ground made of, day, night etc. In this picture we are on a logging road to assist some tree fallers that were injured.
