My Daughter is a DVM and used to be in an equine practice which serviced a lot of the Amish farms in Lancaster and East of there. She loved those people and found them to be wonderful to deal with. She took a lot of farm produce for trades for work and most of it was in addition to the cash that they just paid for services. Real horse people who depend on their animals for their livlihood too. That clip is funny though.
I was up in St John New Brunswich and met a young couple just wed Amish who were at the airport taking an airplane ride. first time ever in a plane. Nicer kids you would never have met anywhere. I have a couple of them as customers too who communicate by mail and send checks for some of their belting needs for their woodworking businesses. Cheese too. Cant say enough good about them. Great area you live in. My daughter wants me to move there when I retire.

Don't forget about the Amish Mafia either. Funny show.

I'd like to see Lebanon Levi pay a visit to whoever it is that keeps leaving the grounding wire reel wrapped up in rats nest at the self serve pumps :bat:

Welcome.

Whatever you get make sure you can afford to fly it and maintain it. It is a slippery slope if you start letting little maintenance items slip.

It sounds like an IFR rating is in your future. I recommend having one if you fly an A36 class plane.

Welcome Tyler.

I am a rookie as well licensed 2/9/12. My instructor recommend I buy a Bonanza with my goals and dedication to learning. At 70 hrs I bought my VTail and 110 hrs later I know it was the right decision. Fly every week, use a great instructor and start your IFR. You'll do great!

Go for it! Just flew to a business meeting in San Diego. 1.5 hr flight. Would have been a 8 hr drive. Flew right into International, between 737s, Landmark Aviation treated me like a rock star. LOVE this flying thing!

I thank my instructor every week for the world he opened up to me. And I LOVE Beechtalk! This is where I found my Bo

Enjoy the privilege of flight Tyler!
