Yes, I am the new guy looking to possibly become a Beechcraft owner. I have been shopping over the last few months and have flown a few of the different Beechcraft models in my price range (Older Bonanza and Musketeer) and have to say they are an absolute drean to fly.....I really like the older 35. For some reason the vintage aircraft just put a smile on my face as the plane was flying years before I was even a thought (born in 75). Anyways, I hope I can gain some knowledge to help me through my decision making process.

Welcome, Dan.

Hazing isn't allowed here except on the Politics thread :tape:

What we do here is goad each other to spend money.

Welcome to the buyer anxiety stage, and to BeechTalk.

As Paul stated it's BeechYell sometimes in the politics section, which I rarely read.

Hi Dan, glad to meet you. yes the vintage planes have a certain appeal. And being Beechcraft, I think they age the best because of the construction.

Enjoy your shopping!

Welcome Dan!

If you don't find the answers for which you are looking on this board, the Beech answer that you seek likely does not exist.

With that said, what is your budget?

That will help focus the group.

Welcome to BeechTalk Dan.

Obviously, the sooner you share things like....

Mission

Budget

etc...

the sooner we can get down to spending your money. :D :bud:

Thank you all for the warm welcome and being so eager to spend my money! I am located in Denver, CO and will be using the Plane to finish my Private Pilot Cert as well as using it for small cross country tips. Being in Colorado the more HP the better for mountain flying but also reliable. One of my best friends is my CFI and he flyes for the airlines so we can go just about anywhere to pick up the plane if nessisary. I was persuing my SPL and decided to just get my PPL since I get my instruction for free. I figured since I have the financial means to purcahse and maintain an airplane I might as well apply the money that I would spend renting towards the purcahse. I found a 47 Bonanza with a little under 1600 hours SMOH and nicely upgraded available for 16k. I posted some questions about the E185 in the Single forum asking about how may more hours I was liekely to get out of it before I had to empty my wallet on a major or at least a top end. I like the musketeers also but as mentioned have flown an older bonanza a while back and really liked it....plus the bonanza has retractable gear (prefered).....why I dont know (maybe because it makes it go faster)? Anyways, Its hard to pass up such a great deal on a Bonanza because of the hours on the engine.
