Awesome Baron!

Your son is the MEI? For you? How does that work?

I see my Dad as a patient and have to advise him of his condition. Whenever I tell him how to improve his health, he states that he's the father, information passes downstream, and he has great insurance in that he has a son.

Well, I was his CFI for his private, so I guess turn about is fair play.
Actually, he has his Comm ASMEL CFI-SE and CFII. Needs to build a few hours before the MEI checkride. I figure I can be his "practice" student for MEI prep, and then a quick hop to endorse me after he passes.
Hmmm...thinking out loud....can't recall if I need three hours logged dual in preparation for the checkride for ME add-on. I know there is no written or minimum time requirement. Hmmm...gotta go pull out part 61.

Troy,

Just keep in mind that your son needs 5 hours of PIC in make/model in order to give training required for the issuance of a certificate or rating in a multi-engine airplane (FAR 61.195, Paragraph f). I'm sure that won't be an issue in this case but it is just something to keep in mind in the back of your head.

Awesome looking plane, congratulations! I had looked at this plane on line and liked the paint scheme so much I saved a copy of the picture for future reference.

Wow great deal on a great airplane! We used to drive through Columbus all the time on the way from Galveston to Austin back in the 90's.

Have fun with that Baron & get you at least 1 single engine ILS/month to stay safe!
