Needs to build a few hours before the MEI checkride. I figure I can be his "practice" student for MEI prep, and then a quick hop to endorse me after he passes. Hmmm...thinking out loud....can't recall if I need three hours logged dual in preparation for the checkride for ME add-on. I know there is no written or minimum time requirement. Hmmm...gotta go pull out part 61. Troy, Just keep in mind that your son needs 5 hours of PIC in make/model in order to give training required for the issuance of a certificate or rating in a multi-engine airplane (FAR 61.195, Paragraph f). I'm sure that won't be an issue in this case but it is just something to keep in mind in the back of your head. -Neal
