Hello to all, My name is Luc van Herle. I reside in Iowa but I am originally from Belgium. I learned to fly initially in Auckland, NZ back in the seventies. I stopped flying after accumulating about 100 hours when I was transferred to Fiji. Came to America in 1981. I started flying again in 2010, got to solo again for the second time (just as exciting) and earned my new American license in April last year. I continued on and earned my instrument rating in November last year. I now have about 350 hours, the last 100 in a friends Turbo SR22. I am getting very close to buying a half share in V tail S35. I don't want to jinx the deal, but I can barely contain myself. I would have neve dreamed in my wildest dreams that this little old immigrant from across the pond could own half a plane. I'm off to Europe on vacation and business right now but hope to consummate the deal when I return. My goal was to fly to Oshkosh in my own plane, that probably won't happen this year but at least I will be there. I did fly up there twice to "practice" Thanks for all the great advice.

Luc, welcome to America, congrats on your pilot certificate, and good luck on your quest to buy a share of a Bonanza. You're living the dream sir!
