I had a 1966 300 HP c-33A with the Dashannon tip tanks and speed mods. Tip tanks added 200 ibs usefull load and added stability to the aircraft. the also look great. add 2 ft to wing-span so make sure you have atleast a 42-44 ft hangar door opening. Lopresti also has mods. You wont regreat any mod from either company. Dashannon are very informative and easy to talk to on the phone. In my opinion tip tanks were a great investement. Leave empty for load increase when full of passengers and luggage. Fill them up for a long cross country or at a cheap fuel stop.

I am considering the genesis dshannon upgrade for useful load increase and extra fuel. I fly from virgina to Florida and stop in sc for fuel. Usually takes 5 hours to include fuel stop and food ( usually 45m or so ). Would b nice to make it in 4:15. Also nice to have extra useful for trips. I have flown a36 with tips and seems to feel little heavier/solid in winds and turbulence

Anybody done this on g36?

Sounds perfect for the mission...kj
