Hi everyone, just joined BT as a new owner of a 1978 A36, my first plane. First got my private certificate 1972 in a Cessna, logged about 100 hours then no flying for another 35 years, just 2 1/2 years ago decided to get back into it, went on to my instrument rating, now with a total of some 320 hours--still a novice. Plane now in the shop to get its old King Bendix avionics replaced with a Garmin 750 with TIS and datalink, new dual audio panels, really looking forward to it. I am still flying it with my instructor as I am new to complex altogether, but what a difference from the Archer 3 I was renting up till now! I have a lot of questions but for now will just listen to everyone until I know what to ask. I have leather seats, club seats in back. IO-550 Continental engine 300 horsepower with SMOH only 380 hours and total engine time around 5600. Pics attached with old panel instruments before overhaul.
