Hi Max If only our fuel was as cheep as yours, we would do a lot more flying. 100LL £7 per US gallon that's around 11 USD.

Hi John
At the moment there are no VFR or IFR charges in Europe for aircraft under 2500kg, thou like you it's being discussed. Landing fees vary from country to country. In the UK, which is not very GA friendly landing at a CAT 3 airfield like Newquay EGHQ will cost around £70 including VAT, plus parking (i had to divert there in bad wheather returning form France and use thier ILS, exspensive). France on the other hand is GA friendly and a joy to fly there, same sized airfield 12 Euros free parking. If you have to divert it's free. I plan to fly more in France as it's only 30 mins from Bodmin in the Bo and I can claime back 39p a litre in tax on the fuel. As G VTAL can hold 454 litres that saves £177!
Regards Ed
